The Fitchburg Fire Department invites you to join them at its annual Open House on Saturday, October 15th, 2005, from 10am to 3pm. The Open House is held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week and is an opportunity for members of the community to learn more about fire safety, the fire department, and safety in general. The event is FREE and there isn't a home Badger football game that day. There will be:
- Fire truck rides
- Activities for the kids
- Smokey The Bear and Sparky
- Safety demonstrations and information
- Displays of fire trucks and police vehicles
- A visit by Med-Flight (depending on availability)
- The residential fire sprinkler demonstration trailer
- Free hot dogs, pork sandwiches, popcorn, and soda
